In my illustrations I love to explore a wide variety of different styles, moods, and atmospheres to create a visual story.
My knowledge of the software and artistic fundamentals based in traditional art & graphic design allow me to be flexible and adaptable, while feeling comfortable working in any medium to capture any creative vision and emotion.
I see each piece as an opportunity to a new and different artistic expressions, whether through the intricate detail of digital painting or the clean, precise lines of vector art.
As a graphic designer, my work revolves around creating visually compelling and effective designs that communicate a message and capture the audience's attention.
I create designs for book covers, flyers, magazines, posters, and packaging, always with a strong illustrational component.
Through a blend of creativity, strategic design, and a distinctive illustrational flair, I deliver results that are both visually appealing and purposeful.
Drawing and painting is the real deal for me. Sitting in front of a computer and banging out vectors and pixels is one thing, but actually getting my hands on paper, holding a actual pencil, a piece of charcoal or a real brush? Oh yeah!
A real medium is not only less forgiving (no Cmd + Z) but also full of surprises and epiphanies (That was a green and not a yellow?!). Most of all, it's truly satisfying (That was hard as hell, but I did it).
It also has the nice side effect of training us for the big jobs. I don't know how, but somehow the brain takes what we've done here and applies it there and it all makes sense and we've become better at what we do.
Traditional art is retreat, meditation, obstacle course and a humbling teacher all at once. Wouldn't want to be without it.
P.S. Total hippocracy here, a lot of the stuff below is done on an IPad. But I used a charcoal brush, so it counts. Shut up.
One of my favourite subjects to draw are people. Nothing tells a story better than a face and its expression. This is a mix of digital and traditional drawings (guess which is which). I mostly use Proceate on my IPad with my Apple pencil, because it's one of my favourite things to do on a long flight. For traditional drawings I use charcoal and I just discovered pastels and soft sponges as a really exciting new medium for myself.
